Med Spa Organizational Chart
A med spa organizational chart helps the team understand who owns decisions, who supervises clinical work, who manages daily operations, and where staff should go when questions arise. It is especially useful before opening, when one person is often wearing several hats.
What the chart should show
Show ownership/leadership, medical direction or supervision, clinic management, providers, front desk, patient care coordination, marketing/sales, bookkeeping, inventory, and outside advisors. The chart should clarify communication and accountability, not just titles.
Startup org chart example
A small startup chart might show owner/operator, medical director or supervising provider, clinic manager, injector/provider team, aesthetician/skincare role, front desk/patient coordinator, bookkeeper/CPA, marketing support, and attorney/compliance advisor. One person may hold multiple roles, but each responsibility should still be named.
Growth org chart example
As the clinic grows, separate management from clinical delivery. Add lead provider, operations manager, training coordinator, inventory owner, marketing coordinator, membership/retention owner, and compliance/documentation owner. This prevents the founder from becoming the only person who knows how anything works.
Connect the org chart to SOPs
Every SOP should have an owner. Lead response belongs to front desk or sales coordinator; room turnover belongs to providers/support staff; weekly KPI review belongs to the manager or owner; medical questions escalate to the appropriate licensed professional. The org chart becomes useful when it connects to real workflows.
